Malinda Pearline (Rosenlund) Wright

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend was taken suddenly and unexpectedly to her Father in Heaven on December 29, 2015 in her home in Caselton, Nevada.

Malinda P. Rosenlund Wright, known to many in the community as Tillie, was born on November 20, 1942 to Hugh Ernst Rosenlund and Ruby Chloe Willfong. She spent her childhood with her sister, Sandra, and many cousins in Ely, NV, North Spring Valley, and surrounding areas.

She continued her education at BYU after graduating White Pine High School in 1960. After completing two years at BYU she enrolled in cosmetology school, which she worked as a beautician for years to come.

Upon graduating beauty school she returned to Ely to attend her sister’s wedding. At the wedding she met the love of her life and eternal companion Edward E. Wright.

They were married soon after on August 15, 1964 and sealed for time and all eternity on May 31, 1968. The Lord blessed them with two beautiful children Todd E. Wright and Halli C. (Wright) Cox. There were many other children who blessed their home and claimed her as their mom.

They spent the first seventeen years of their life together on Ave. L in East Ely, NV. In 1979 they relocated to Caselton (Pioche), NV. It was then Linda worked at Mike’s Mini-Mart for years, finally deciding to make it her own in 1987. It was only natural to name the store Tillie’s after the nickname that her husband had given her since the beginning of their relationship. Her love for the store and its faithful patrons from years past to present and colorful community really showed daily with her contagious smile and laugh. She was kind to all and lived to serve others.

She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with all of her heart. On any given day in the past 27 years you could find her with one of her “sidekicks” taggin’ along. She loved being a homemaker, traveling, playing cards, cooking and any baby that she could get her hands on.

Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in the Relief Society, Primary, Young Women’s Organizations. She served her community through-out her entire life with extensive involvement in local organizations including the Pioche Chamber of Commerce.

She is preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Chloe Rosenlund, her sister Sandra Lee Rosenlund Bower (Rick), and great-grandson Brody Todd Crosby

She is survived by her husband Edward E. Wright; her children Todd(Kathy), Halli(Dave); grandchildren, Ashlee, Randon, Kenzie, Derek, Kaedon; great-grand children, Highland, McKoy, and Ryatt.

A memorial service will be held on Jan. 9, 2016 at the L.D.S. church in Pioche, NV. Viewing time is 9am-10:30am with the service beginning at 11am. She will be laid to rest following the service in the Pioche Public Cemetery (Boot Hill) under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary. Online condolences can be made at www.snmortuary.com .
