Helen Virginia (Bedell) Duyore

Helen Virginia Bedell Edmondson DuYore died Sunday February 4, 2018 with her daughter Cherry L Larounis, son-in-law, Dennis, and her granddaughter Nicole Klopp, at her bedside.

Helen was born February 20, 1922 in Oroville, CA, daughter of Charles Theodore Bedell and Florence Whittier Bedell.

In 1945 Helen married Raymond Ellsworth Edmondson. They had a daughter, Cherry Lynne, and a son, Charles Thomas (CT). Cherry had a daughter Nicole C Klopp. In October of 1968 Ray died in Las Vegas, NV where they had moved to open a franchise store, Dahnken Inc.

In 1976 she married Raymond Hudson DuYore and they reopened the store as DuYore Jewelers, where they did custom jewelry work. With this marriage Helen gained another daughter, Nina Crean (Mike) and another son Raymond Paul DuYore (Cecelia) and a large extended family. In the 80’s Helen and Ray retired and moved to Northern CA to be near family and friends.In 2008 Ray DuYore died, and Helen moved to Panaca, NV, to be near her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter, Nicole.

Helen was a light to everyone she met. She had a beautiful smile and never said a bad word about anyone. She loved Life, People and Children. She loved to travel, eat and loved gardening and all animals. She was an old fashioned lady who always dressed beautifully, and practiced proper etiquette and morals.

Helen is survived by her daughter Cherry, son-in-law Dennis, stepdaughter Nina (Mike), stepson Ray (Cecelia) 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her 1st and 2nd husbands, her son Charles (CT), her parents, her sister, Nell, and brother, Bud.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Panaca 2 ^nd Ward, under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary. Online condolences can be made at www.snmortuary.com . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to NVSPCA or St Jude's Children's Hospital.
