Edna Phillips

Edna Phillips was born June 26, 1933 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Austin Phillips and Lee Patience Napier. She moved with her family to Caliente, NV where her father worked for the Railroad. Edna was unable to attend school in her early years because of her severe medical condition. When Edna was 47 yrs old she and her mother were admitted to Grover C Dils Medical Center as Long Term Care Residents. Edna resided there for the next 31 yrs until she passed away on April 29, 2013. Edna was preceded in death by her parents and her 4 siblings, Calvin Phillips, Albert Phillips, Wanda Srader and Thelma Phillips. Edna was loved by all of the staff at Grover C. Dils Medical Center and many from the community who served her throughout the years.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Caliente LDS Ward Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30. Interment will be at the Caliente Cemetery under the direction of the Southern Nevada Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grover C. Dils Medical Center at PO Box 1010 Caliente, NV. 89008 to help with burial expenses.
