Clark Maurice Hardy, age 85, passed away on June 21, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. Clark was born on December 31, 1927 in Minersville, UT to Arthur Orwin and Emma Elizabeth Davis Hardy.
Clark attended Branch Agriculture College in Cedar City, UT for 2 years. He was married to Marian Louise “Mary Lou”. They had four children.
Clark was a founding member of PVCU, served on the sewer and water board, was a Lions Club member and served on Alamo Town Board. He served in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. Clark had many ward callings, served on high council under 2 stake presidents, served in 2 Bishoprics, served 3 LDS missions: Dublin, Ireland, St. Louis, MO, and Director of New Zealand Temple Visitor Center, Hamilton, New Zealand. He was the owner and builder of Meadow Lane Motel.
Clark is survived by his four children: Clark Marion “Rick” (Lorna) Hardy of Alamo, NV, Leslie Gaye (John) of Taylorsville, UT, Sandra Kim (Richard) Gardner of Colorado Springs,CO and Arthur Wayne (Sally) Hardy of Taylor, AZ; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and his brother Russell O. Hardy of Henderson, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marian Louise “Mary Lou”, his brothers Eugene Hardy and Warren Hardy and his sisters Ruby Baker (Delos) and Olive Branning (Dewitt).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the LDS Alamo Ward Building. A viewing will be held from 12:00 – 1:30 pm at the same location. Interment will be in the Alamo Cemetery under the direction of Southern Nevada Mortuary.
