“Buddy” John S. Cole passed away on November 29, 2016 in Tijuana, Mexico. He was born November 23, 1949 to “Jackie” John D. Cole and Kathleen Hine in Pioche, Nevada.
He was a 1968 graduate of Lincoln County High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, fires, doing barbeques, cooking Dutch oven and Cole family picnics. He collected anything old, trinkets, liked Indian artifacts, loved his cows, and loved to be the guy the family relied on.
Buddy is survived by his significant other Shannon Spendlove; his children John W. Cole of Lovelock, NV; Lonny Cole of Pioche, NV; Casey Cole (Brenda) of Pioche, NV; Alan Cole (Jamie) of Caliente, NV; Austin Cole (Jaime) of Pioche, NV; Landon Cole of Pioche, NV; his mother “Tiny” Kathleen Cole; sisters Kathy Hiatt (Lee) of Pioche, NV and Lorena Stever (Rick) of Pioche, NV; and 14 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father “Jackie” John D. Cole.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Pioche Lower Fire Station on Airport Road. Interment will follow at the St. Lawrence Cemetery in Pioche. Arrangements are being handled by Southern Nevada Mortuary.
